Chuck enjoyed a highly successful 20-year career in TV and radio sales and management before joining forces with Bill in 1998 to launch the agency, which eventually merged with STYLE. As a well-connected industry professional, everyone in Alabama seems to know Chuck – or, at the very least, someone who knows Chuck.
Fun fact: One year while vacationing in Hawaii, Chuck decided to go for a peaceful, early morning hike. Who’d he find at the top of the volcano? None other than a friend from Birmingham. To be honest, we’re still not sure if it’s truly a small world or if Chuck just literally knows every single human on the planet.
A seasoned veteran of the industry, Monty boasts more than 25 years’ experience in advertising and agency work. Monty joined STYLE as a Vice President after his own advertising firm, Ballard Advertising, merged with STYLE in 2015. He brings a great deal of expertise and value to our clients.
Fun fact: Monty attends just about every music festival that comes within a 100-mile radius of Birmingham. Chances are he’s more hip than the rest of our STYLE team combined.
After working for one of Birmingham’s boutique PR firms, Audrey joined STYLE in February 2011. Her performance and expertise was quickly recognized by the firm, leading to Audrey’s appointment as Vice President where she oversees not only day-to-day management of the PR department, but also the digital media team. She has spearheaded projects for a variety of clients, including the award-winning campaign for Birmingham Restaurant Week.
Fun fact: Audrey knows Birmingham like the back of her hand. She’s the perfect inside source if you’re looking for the Magic City’s best cocktail or your new favorite local eatery.
Kirsten has been spearheading digital efforts for STYLE since May 2014, connecting brands with their audiences through social channels and building a notable web presence for each client she works with. She is a skilled copy-writer and brings a great deal of value with her knack for developing strategic digital communications plans.
Fun fact: Kirsten went to college at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she earned a soccer scholarship. She even played on a few semi-professional teams back in her prime.
Katie joined the STYLE team in March 2015 and oversees public relations and digital media efforts for a variety of clients including non-profits, local businesses and national organizations. She excels in client and media relations, accomplishing clients’ goals through traditional public relations as well as through social media tactics.
Fun fact: Plain and simple, Katie is our office’s resident Triple Threat. Her talents reach far beyond her vocational calling, and we are all fortunate enough to benefit from her frequent cubicle concerts.
Claire joined the STYLE team in July 2016. Her experiences range from internal communication to external public relations, from journalistic writing and editing to project management and leadership, which makes her a great fit for the STYLE PR team. She is a strong writer and a skilled wordsmith, and she loves to craft written communications to further client brands by effectively telling clients’ stories.
Fun fact: Claire spent time for 11 consecutive summers building houses in Honduras, a place she considers her second home. She is her happiest when visiting her Honduran friends and drinkingreally strong Honduran coffee. After 11 summers, she is finally conversational in Spanish and fluent in coffee.
Eric came on board at STYLE in March 2017 and assists with public relations and digital media efforts for the team’s variety of clients. His experiences include a wide range of digital and social media storytelling, as well as community relations, making him well-equipped to juggle STYLE’s many client brands and communications needs.
Fun fact: Eric doesn't have many nicknames, but he'll let you call him Lil Rika if you ask nicely.
Austin began at STYLE as an intern in 2016 and then joined the team full-time one year later. With experience working for Birmingham’s local media, she brings a vital perspective to STYLE’s PR team. Austin leverages her unique perspective and media experience to enhance and deepen all of Style's PR efforts.
Fun fact: Austin is Birmingham’s self-proclaimed macaroni and cheese connoisseur, and while she WILL eat Kraft (because macaroni and cheese is macaroni and cheese, man), her personal favorite is the macaroni and cheese from John’s City Diner.
Grant became STYLE’s Creative Director in November 2015. After spending more than 20 years honing his craft as designer and art director with a variety of advertising agencies, publishers and design houses across the South, he continues to develop tightly executed creative, typographic acuity and deft design for each of STYLE’s clients based on their unique needs.
Fun fact: Grant has co-written and directed three short films for Sidewalk Film Festival's 48-hour film making contests. His true claim to fame? One of his projects was awarded best direction and best soundtrack.
Chris manages interactive projects, including IT development, email marketing and strategic web solutions, providing vision and leadership for each client project. He has been with STYLE since January 2018, bringing 16 years of experience in the industry to the team and boasting recognition from 20 local, regional and national Addy Awards. As Interactive Director at STYLE, he stays on the cutting-edge of creative solutions through technology, all while ensuring STYLE’s user experience solutions remain aesthetically sophisticated and functional.
Fun fact: Chris builds more than just custom websites - he builds custom furniture! Having learned the art from his dad while growing up, it’s a hobby he still loves today.
David has been solving problems for STYLE’s clients since December 2016. He provides strategy and analysis for digital marketing campaigns and is certified in Google AdWords, Google Analytics and Bing Ads. As our resident digital analytics guru, David makes sure our clients’ targeted digital strategies are effective and successful.
Fun fact: David got his black belt in karate before he was 7 years old. You’d never know it, but while unassuming, he is secretly a karate master.
Erin joined STYLE in November 2002 as a media buyer. Having been with the company for many years, she brings an in-depth knowledge and understanding of STYLE and its clients. She also keeps everything running smoothly as the STYLE office manager, ensuring our agency functions as any great agency should.
Fun fact: Erin’s first job was reading water meters in her hometown. Perks of the job? Driving the local police car. Erin has since traded in the police car for a minivan, but we let her believe it was an upgrade.
Angela joined STYLE in April 2015 as a media buyer and now manages both local and national client accounts and their budgets. Purchasing advertising space and time across multiple media outlets in several different markets, Angela demonstrates a shrewd knowledge of the industry and uses that to advise clients in best advertising practices.
Fun fact: Angela’s Yorkie KK is the light of her life, and between the two of them, you won’t find a pair more passionate about the tragedy and loss of one of America’s most misunderstood figures: Harambe.
Lynn joined STYLE in May 2016 and assists the design team in its creative endeavors. With experience in all areas of graphic design, including logo design, outdoor, social media, rebranding, ads and brochures, she has offered informed insight on accounts from banks and hospitals to industrial manufacturing over the course of her career.
Fun fact: Lynn grew up in Birmingham near Cahaba Heights where she had a horse her family kept in the backyard. On any given weekend, Lynn and her friends could be spotted galloping down 280 or swimming horseback in the Cahaba River.
Blake joined the STYLE team in April 2017 and took the reigns as our in-house SEO expert. Ranking clients’ websites in Google search results, Blake stimulates qualified leads and sales for businesses by developing their web presence into an asset.
Fun fact: In 2010, Blake tried to buy $300 worth of Bitcoin. That's $4.5 million worth of regret today.
Carol joined STYLE as our Media & Account Services Director in October 2016. With over 25 years of media/marketing experience, Carol brings a wealth of knowledge to the STYLE team. She has worked as the VP/Associate Director at Campbell Mithun Advertising in Minneapolis, managing all traditional and non-traditional media negotiating efforts, as well as with 92KQRS-FM/Cumulus Media as a local sales manager. An active member of the Twin Cities affiliate of the Alliance for Women in Media, Carol has been honored three times as their “Member of the Year.” For over six years, Carol was also member of the Alliance for Women in Media national board.
Fun fact: Carol has hit the royal flush in Vegas six times. Her husband has hit the royal flush zero times. They say opposites attract.
Savannah joined the STYLE team in September 2017. Her talents include copy-writing, digital strategy and connecting brands with their audiences via social media. She is an avid writer and loves creating engaging content for clients through blogs and various social channels.
Fun fact: While attending the University of Minnesota, Savannah studied abroad in Southern France where she survived solely on bread and cheese for nine months.
